About Me
My name is Michael Ellis, known in the esports world as Gregan. I’m a world championship winning Rocket League manager and coach.
My Journey working in esports started as a Rocket League commentator fronting EU events like the Gfinity Elite Series, Dreamhack Leipzig 2018 and several Insomnia Gaming Festivals. At the beginning of 2018 I became manager of Renault Vitality and our two-year goal was to become World Champions in the following four seasons of 2018/19. After missing out on Season 6 worlds at the end of 2018 and after signing Kaydop, I became coach of the team and in 2019. We became World Champions in our third season as a team and were one goal away from retaining our title in season four.
I have been coaching in Rocket League since shortly after the game came out, since I progressed into mid/high ranks early, I started helping my lower-ranked friends get the hang of the basics. Once I became a commentator and started analysing the game more thoroughly, I reached Grand Champion and was playing alongside and against the pros in ranked and started coaching more top players. Starting with teams competing at Insomnia Gaming Festivals, later coaching Supersonic Avengers, working with teams and individuals in RLCS and Gfinity Elite Series and eventually landing the job at Renault Vitality as manager and coach.
I was also the first person to publicly define and teach rotations with my Tabletop Tactics series which has helped create the language of rotation with many of the concepts still holding up today.

About My Coaching
Ready to become an elite player? If you want to evolve your high level play even further, the packages I offer will guide you through the next steps in your Rocket League development. With a combination of recorded and live replay analysis, you’ll get a short term boost to your understanding and gameplay. Alongside this, diagrammatic and written resources will provide post-coaching learning for longer term improvement.
Having been limited to coaching one team (Renault Vitality) for the last two years, I am excited to be a neutral coach who can offer my knowledge and experience to anyone. Whether you’re a team pushing for number 1 in the world or a top ranked player looking for some tips, I can help.
I focus mostly on 2v2 and 3v3 playlists and working with champ 3s and higher. Those looking for coaching within 1v1 playlist or at lower ranks are welcome to book on for the Basic Package, but otherwise I am happy to recommend a coach more suited to your needs.

Basic Package (~1 hour) – $75

Advanced Package (~3 hours) – $200
- Text chat after booking to discuss how we can personalise the Advanced Package to the individual and organise the first session.
- Three replays sent to analyse:
I Recommend one good win, one close game and one big loss in your main playlist. If you are a multi-playlist player, switch one replay for a [close game / heavy loss] in your second playlist.
- Personalised coaching video, approximately 30 minutes long, uploaded unlisted to YouTube for viewing in your own time. This will remain unlisted for you.
- Personalised one-to-one live replay analysis, with the VOD (on request) saved unlisted for you watch in future at your own leisure.
- Access to personalised training resources sent for your personal use.
- Two week and four week post one-to-one 15-20 minute catch-ups with review of results and tweeks.
Elite Package (~6 hours) – $400
- Call after booking to discuss how we can personalise the Elite Package to the individual and start creating below resources and organise first session.
- Three replays sent to analyse on the initial session:
I recommend one good win, one close game and one big loss in your main playlist. If you are a multi-playlist player, switch one replay for the second playlist.
- Personalised coaching video, approximately 30 minutes long, uploaded unlisted to YouTube for viewing in your own time. This will remain unlisted for you.
- Personalised one-to-one live replay analysis, with the VOD (on request) saved unlisted for you to watch in future at your own leisure.
- Access to personalised training resources sent for personal use.
- After approximately one month, two replays to be sent for a follow-up one-to-one analysis session. Any additional personalised resources will be adapted and resent for your personal use.
- After another one month, two more replays to be sent for another follow-up one-to-one analysis session. Any additional personalised resources will be adapted and resent for your personal use.
- Regular friendly catch-ups to check in on how you are getting on.

I am a mid-GC, 3000 hours, once top 100, and was looking for a coach to take my game to the next level. Gregan explained a lot of concepts I knew about and showed me how they all work together to win games. I thought it was great that he will not cut off his coaching session at the time limit, rather finishing his topic and the session. He is very clear, concise, and makes sure you understand each concept before moving on. I’m giving this review 4 stars because the “generalized training resources” in the basic package is just the graphics he uses and isn’t a training schedule, training packs, or even advice on how to improve the quickest like I expected. So, quite literally, the basic package is just replay analysis and concepts. Also, the coaching session started 3 hours late due to a scheduling error.

Gregan has easily been the best coach I’ve had so far (not to take away from the other coaches). His experience really shines through when he coaches you. I for example am a very mechanical player, however one of my flaws was setting up enough options for me to be able to fully utilize my mechanics, with my main things to work on being boost reserves, boost economy, maintaining options, etc. He takes what your strengths are and builds your complete playstyle around that, rather than just having you play a certain way. 10/10 would recommend.

Words honestly can’t express how insanely valuable my coaching session was with Gregan. He was pointing things out that I have never noticed *from a different perspective.* And that really is what makes his coaching worth it.
An outside opinion from a former World Champion coach is incredible. When you buy a coaching session from Gregan, You’re paying for thousands of hours of mistakes, experiences, and insider knowledge that you don’t have to go through and repeat. Everything I learned from my session is something that you can’t find anywhere except at the top. All the world’s best go against the grain of the world and take the road less traveled on, the narrow path. *And that has made all the difference.*
Gregan also gives off that worth a damn factor where he’s aware of everything has such a humble personality. He’s very accommodating and also someone you can talk to like you’ve known for years.
If you don’t know if you should pull the trigger and buy his coaching, remember that you’re paying for thousands of hours of experiences and failures that you would have to go through for yourself if you don’t get his coaching. 🙂

Gregan gave some quality insights into both how I play the game and what I was doing wrong in common situations. There was no sense of patronism, just realistic assessments, and he made a real effort to adjust how he explained things to the way that made most sense to me and how I play.
It’s blatantly clear talking to Gregan how much he knows about the game, and how much he loves it, both as fun and as sport, and it made it very easy to talk about different aspects as we went along.
He’s given me a plan to work with and hopefully improve going forward, and once it’s all been taken onboard fully I’m fairly sure I’ll want to return for another session once I’ve cracked GC.
Really happy with how it went, convinced me that coaching is worthwhile even at Champ ranks.
